Visibility may still depend on the viewing angle, brightness, and surrounding environment.
What Users Say
In a 6 Months Later review on YouTube, the reviewer noted that the Galaxy S26 Ultra feels light for its size at 214g, making it 4g lighter than the S25 Ultra. They also found that Privacy Display works as intended, with options to activate it for sensitive notifications, selected apps, and passcode entry. However, how useful the feature is depends on your lifestyle. It may come in handy if you often commute or spend time in crowded public spaces.

- Low-Light Photography and Video: Samsung reports 47% improved brightness on the wide camera compared with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Nightography Video and noise reduction support low-light video recording.
- Super Steady Video: Super Steady Video with Horizontal Lock uses gyroscope and acceleration sensors to keep footage level, even when the phone rotates up to 360 degrees. Results may vary depending on shooting conditions and editing methods.
What Users Say

- Charging: Super Fast Charging 3.0 can charge the battery to up to 75% in around 30 minutes.
What Users Say
GSMArena’s review notes that despite retaining its 5,000mAh battery, the Galaxy S26 Ultra lasted longer than its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. In its battery tests, it found that the S26 Ultra achieved an active-use score of around 16.5 hours. Its upgraded 60W wired charging also improved charging speeds, reaching 81% in ~30 minutes and a full charge in ~45 minutes. Wireless charging now supports up to 25W via Qi2.2. However, using magnetic wireless charging accessories requires a compatible magnetic case, as the phone has no built-in magnets.
Performance
- Processor: The Galaxy S26 Ultra uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. Samsung reports improvements over the Galaxy S25 Ultra of 19% in CPU performance, 39% in NPU performance, and 24% in GPU performance.
- Cooling System: Its redesigned vapor chamber and tailored thermal interface material provide 21% greater thermal performance compared with the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
- Gaming: The phone supports Vulkan-optimized games and ray tracing.
What Users Say
In the same YouTube review by GSMArena, it was noted that the Galaxy S26 ultra runs on Samsung’s One UI 8.5. While the interface retains much of the design introduced on the One UI 8 which was introduced last year, the main changes focus on AI-powered features like:
- Now Brief: Delivers personalized summaries, reminders, and updates, including relevant travel details and upcoming events.
- Now Nudge: Offers contextual suggestions in supported apps, such as checking calendar availability or finding photos to share.
- Bixby: Understands natural-language requests, letting users ask questions, search the web, and adjust phone settings through conversation.
- Circle to Search: Lets users search for multiple items on the screen at once, such as different pieces of an outfit.
- Photo Assist: Lets users edit photos using text prompts, including adding or removing objects and changing backgrounds. AI-edited images include a visible watermark.
GSMArena’s benchmark tests also placed the Galaxy S26 Ultra among the top-performing smartphones, with a Geekbench 6 multi-core score of 11,566, an AnTuTu score of 3,892,165, and strong 3DMark Wild Life Extreme results. Its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip features higher clock speeds, helping deliver high performance in demanding tasks and games.
However, GSMArena observed heavy thermal throttling during its stress tests, with CPU performance dropping to below 50%.
Stylus Support
- Built-in S Pen: The Galaxy S26 Ultra comes with a built-in S Pen for writing, drawing, and other supported functions.
What Users Say
In a 6 Months Later review on YouTube, the reviewer noted that writing with the S Pen can feel wobbly when the phone is placed on a flat surface. This is because the rear camera modules prevent the Galaxy S26 Ultra from resting completely flat.
The stylus could be a useful productivity tool. In a tips video, SamMobile highlighted features such as handwriting-to-text conversion, handwritten note search, document annotation, and Screen Off Memo for quickly jotting down ideas without unlocking the phone. Samsung Notes and Galaxy AI also help summarize, format, and translate notes, making the S Pen useful for everyday tasks, meetings, and document work.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Is It Worth Buying?
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is worth considering if you want a flagship phone with improved low-light photography, longer battery life, powerful performance, and useful AI features. Its built-in S Pen adds value for users who regularly take handwritten notes or work with documents, while Privacy Display offers extra screen privacy in public settings.
At around ₱102,288, it’s best for buyers who want Samsung’s latest flagship features. Galaxy S25 Ultra owners may find the upgrades less compelling, but those switching from an older device can benefit from the improvements in camera performance, charging, and overall functionality.
