Inspired by a call to action by fellow volunteers and imbibing the spirit of participative governance espoused by VP Leni. We committed to upcycle used tarpaulin that would otherwise end up in landfills and make tote bags to distribute to under privileged students this coming school year. As suggested by many, we decided to make this fundraiser so we can reach more with our project by not just upcycling more tarps but also providing livelihood to partner communities. Each bag is double layered to ensure sturdiness and finished with gross grain ribbons. Each purchase entitles you to 1 bag you get to keep and another bag for a sponsor student. Since tarps are sourced from donors, bags that will be shipped are randomly selected and will contain variations in size and color.
