Description

palayok or our filipino traditional cooking pot originally used by our great grand mothers during the old day.Its made from clay manually formed by a skilled pottery maker and cooked in fire for days.Best for cooking pinakbet and paksiw na isda. season your palayok before your first use: First soak the clay pot in water for at least 15 minutes and up to two hours, rinse and dried without using soup. Second, once the clay pot is dried, coat the entire thing with vinegar or olive oil. Lastly, it should be filled up to ¾ of water and heated on the stovetop on low temperature until it’s boiling. Do this for about 2 to 3 hours and you’ve just treated or seasoned your clay pot
