An Immortal, they say, is so called due to the sheer difficulty that it takes to put down one. While not quite nearly as difficult to take down as in the tales, troops are always initially relieved to discover the Immortals as being as mortal as any other human they have faced. This relief however gradually turns to despair as they come to learn the true meaning of the name. While a single Immortal can be eventually struck down, their unrelenting numbers means there is always another ready to take his place. The truth dies with the fall of the western army that meets the Immortals in battle, and only rumors remain to once again spread in the camps of the western forces."
