Pig testing procedure:

1. Place the sow in a standing position and apply coupling agent to the front end of the probe.

2. Place the probe on the left or right side of the center of the abdominal wall on the hind legs, tightly against the abdominal wall, just outside the second to last and third nipples.

3. If there is mud or feces on the skin of this area, it should be cleaned with water first to avoid affecting the image presentation.

Note:

In the early stages of pregnancy, the embryo is very small and needs to move slowly. It is not possible to quickly slide the probe. Before 28 days, the uterus has not fully sagged and attached to the abdominal wall, so it needs to be pressed inward and close to the uterus. Generally, a diagnosis can be made in one go. If the diagnosis cannot be made, the amount of coupling agent needs to be increased or the angle of the probe needs to be adjusted. Diagnosis of non pregnant sows requires testing on both sides to avoid misdiagnosis.

Sheep detection procedure:

1. Abdominal examination: keeping the ewe standing; Apply coupling agent to the front end of the probe; The probe is placed in a hairless area of the skin between the hind legs and abdomen. If there is mud or feces on the skin of this area, it should be cleaned with water first to avoid affecting the image presentation.

2. Rectal examination: keeping the ewe standing; The probe penetrates deep into the sheep's rectum and slowly moves to observe the host screen image to observe the correct position of the uterus and determine whether it is pregnant.

Note:

Based on some data, we believe that both methods have been proven to be effective in diagnosing ewe pregnancy. The rectal examination method within 35 days of pregnancy yields earlier and more accurate results than the abdominal examination method; Both methods are effective within 35 to 70 days of pregnancy;

After 70 days of pregnancy, abdominal testing is better because the uterus becomes larger and the abdominal testing method is more practical.
